Allen & Overy (A&O) is a leading international legal firm with a truly global network of over 5,500 people, now spanning 44 offices in 31 countries.
In 2005, A&O launched its Alumni Network to keep in touch with former partners and employees in order to create and promote goodwill towards the firm. For over five years Luminous has produced the Alumni Yearbook that promotes and engages the network, and reminds alumni that they are ‘Always A&O’ – the firm’s motto for recognising the strong network.
Each year we adopt a new theme and fresh creative direction to both recognise and celebrate talented colleagues who have achieved sustained success. The theme for the latest yearbook is ‘The changing face of law and the future of legal talent’ to reflect how A&O is now recruiting and retaining the best talent in light of the shifting legal landscape. The 2018 yearbook also celebrates and interviews ‘boomerangs’: former A&O employees who have returned to the fold.
The publications present a passionate, intellectual and well-rounded A&O ethos, underpinned by thought-leadership and ambition.
Testament to A&O’s success is its latest global engagement survey of members: 71% of alumni said that receiving the Alumni Yearbook was the best part of being a member. The 2018 yearbook microsite has also been well received, with an impressive 1,845 views in the first month following its launch – a 66% increase from the same period in 2017.
