As co-founder of the agency Alan has steered Luminous to being one of the UK’s most respected agencies, driving our reputation for outstanding strategic thinking.
Despite holding a degree in Graphic Design, Alan has spent most of his career involved in the strategic side of marketing communications, completing an MSc in Strategic Marketing along the way. The first 10 years of his career were spent client-side, where he was Head of Marketing, managing a team engaged in brand development, corporate communications and digital communications.
Alan moved to the agency world in 1998 as an Account Director working across a range of major clients including British Airways and Sainsbury’s, being predominantly focused on editorially driven projects, including loyalty magazines.
At Luminous, Alan loves to get to the heart of company stories and to build lasting peer-to-peer relationships with clients through helping develop smart communications strategies and persuasive corporate narratives.
Sport, musicals and weekends in the Languedoc. Born in Liverpool, he is a passionate Everton Toffee.
