As a Senior Digital Strategist, you will define and lead our client’s digital strategies. You’ll have a passion for understanding our client’s markets, business objectives, audiences, communications, and content requirements. Combining this knowledge with all our expertise to deliver best in class strategic brand, IR and Sustainability guidance and support.
You will report directly to the Director of Digital Engagement.
What are we looking for?
Act as the strategic lead on a range of large and complex opportunities and strategic accounts.
Support the Director of Digital Engagement to develop the Luminous digital service and implement a program of continuous improvement within the digital team.
Work with multi-discipline teams (including Content, Design, Technical, IR and Sustainability) and third-parties to ensure clients strategies and recommendations are thorough, clearly defined and implemented consistently.
Provide guidance and support for other staff on digital projects
Work with the Client Services team to provide ongoing strategic planning and guidance for client accounts.
Support Luminous marketing activities through attendance at events, blogging etc. as required.
Client strategy delivery
Lead development of our client’s digital strategies, demonstrating an excellent understanding of digital channels and their uses (websites, social, email marketing, SEO, PPC etc.).
Work in multi-disciplinary teams and lead the strategic direction on client projects and communications activity.
Lead workshops and meetings with clients at all levels, including C-suite, to understand and define requirements and briefs for B2B and corporate clients.
Undertake research to understand client markets, positioning, peers, audiences, and existing communications activity.
Perform analytics reviews of existing client digital channels to assess performance.
Lead presentations, both internally and externally, including being able to present and justify your work to clients.
Support the Director of Digital Engagement in development of the Luminous service offering.
Lead the digital element of selected new business pitches.
Build your own relationships with key client contacts to become a trusted advisor.
Offer expert insight and understanding of digital strategy and how this relates to wider digital / industry trends.
Be an advocate for digital across the business, building relationships across all teams.
Support other Luminous teams with best practice insight and advice for digital communications.
Management and Planning
Support the Director of Digital Engagement to mentor other Luminous team members and assist in recruitment processes.
Work with Client Services / Project Managers and Planning teams to schedule your own time.
Provide project timing estimates, budgets and definition of digital strategy deliverables.
Skills and Experience Required
A proven track record in the development of digital communication strategy.
An enthusiasm for all things digital communications and an appetite to learn new skills.
The ability to problem solve and generate ideas.
Experience of working in a client-facing role.
Have a good understanding of digital channels and techniques (websites, social media, email marketing, SEO, PPC etc.) and ability to advise clients about how and when to use them to deliver their business goals.
Knowledge of web analytics, in particular, Google Analytics.
Experience of working in digital marketing and/or corporate communications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
