Senior Digital Project Manager

As our Senior Digital Project Manager, you will be a central figure in the team responsible for the end-to-end management of web development projects (but not limited to other digital products or services) targeted towards an investor and corporate audience.

You will show great attention to detail and strive to get things right the first time, while building positive relationships by taking the time to listen and communicating effectively throughout the process. You will gain inside-out knowledge of our procedures, advising your clients with confidence and a concise understanding of their needs. Your ability to plan will keep you one step ahead, but you are also flexible enough to make changes and solve problems.

You will control both the digital portfolio and all the projects within it, and digital programmes. This is a challenging role as there are a number of internal and external stakeholders, so proactive communication, ongoing maintenance of project documentation and active management of our in-house and remote-based teams is essential to deliver projects within scope, budget and schedule. Working with our design and account management teams, you will be responsible for defining a solution which meets our clients’ requirements and driving the work schedule from concept to completion, to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor the digital portfolio growth and propose strategic business recommendations.
  • Prepare estimates, contracts, budgets and Gantt charts accurately, using codes and following procedures.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings, ensuring you ask the right questions to fully understand clients and their individual requirements.
  • Manage in-house and remote teams to make sure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with clients on project performance.
  • Prepare a weekly/bi-weekly project RAG status.
  • Maintain all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and manage the planning of retrospective meetings.
  • Support the Finance & Project Manager with invoice collections for our clients.
  • Keep up to date with new digital trends so we may offer our clients the latest technology for their digital projects.
  • Develop client revenue opportunities through successful delivery of projects.
  • Mentor non-digital members of the Luminous team to support with digital projects.

Skills and experience

  • You have at least four years’ experience in digital project management, preferably in an agency.
  • You have a good understanding of latest digital practices and trends.
  • You deliver work to a high standard and are attentive to our clients’ needs while managing many urgent and often conflicting priorities.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and can build trust and respect both externally and internally.
  • You possess and demonstrate excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • You are positive, with a can-do attitude and a good sense of humour.
  • You are friendly and a team player who shows flexibility and a non-hierarchical approach
  • You are organised, possessing a rigorous attention to detail, naturally checking work to ensure it is of the highest quality.
  • You are resilient and professional when handling difficult situations, offering solutions to any problems which may arise.
  • You show commitment to clients and are prepared to put in additional hours in evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
