Associate Director, Investor Engagement & ESG Disclosure

As our Associate Director, Investor Engagement & ESG Disclosure, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of strategic communications that leverage our integrated approach, including the production of corporate reporting, ESG and digital communications for large, listed clients.

You will be a credible and organised individual with solid attention to detail. You are the subject matter expert on IE & ESG Disclosure, confident with communicating at all levels within an organisation, including C-suite.

You will be a key player in the strategy team, supporting and working collaboratively on day-to-day decision making with the Director of Investor Engagement and ESG Disclosure.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day consultancy team; mentoring and leading by example
• Providing consultancy to clients across investor engagement, ESG and digital, and developing their strategy in line with best practice, FRC guidance and changing market conditions
• Having a view and taking the lead on delivering client work that is effective and profitable
• Taking the lead in client meetings, presenting, and getting buy-in from stakeholders
• Pitching, presenting to, and winning new clients
• With the Director of IE & ESG Disclosure and the Senior Leadership Team, advising on and contributing to the development and evolution of the IE and ESG offer
• Responding to queries from clients regarding legislative and regulatory provisions, providing advice and guidance as appropriate
• Responding to ad hoc research requests from clients to assist in the delivery of their corporate reporting programme
• Staying within budget and time allocations, and raising potential overburn to the Director
• Sharing knowledge throughout the business and being seen as a go-to leader
• Identifying and leading on opportunities to cross-sell Luminous’ comprehensive offer
• Providing support to the Director of IE & ESG Disclosure, representing him at meetings in his absence and other duties where directed

Skills and Experience

• You have the relevant industry experience within investor engagement, corporate reporting and ESG, and you understand the relevant reporting standards and frameworks, including TCFD and SASB
• You have a background in Corporate/Investor Comms, financial journalism/strategic content (with consultancy experience), or management consultancy, allowing you to understand and translate complex information and data into compelling communications
• You are an excellent communicator, skilled in identifying and working towards specific targets, and have excellent writing skills
• You have experience in assessing and analysing key trends, strategies, and communications to provide insight to our clients and internal partners, including knowledge of materiality assessments.
• You are confident with public speaking, comfortable with pitching and presenting to clients and running internal L&D initiatives
• You possess high commercial awareness, being proficient in identifying and implementing appropriate measures to assist in the continuity and growth of the agency
• You are proactive with with meeting your targets, tracking budgets against project progress and delivery where required
• You are passionate about the work you do, taking immense pride in delivering work to a high standard and strive to give the best customer service
• You are positive, friendly and a team player who can help motivate colleagues and inspire others around you
• You have a can-do attitude with the ability to multi-task across different projects
