Bringing to life a new environment strategy
Taylor Wimpey is one of the UK's largest residential developers, building and selling over 10,000 homes every year. It is proud to be a responsible developer, committed to working with local people and communities.
Luminous was tasked with producing a short animation to accompany the launch of its new ‘Building a better world’ environment strategy, to help communicate the key elements of the strategy in a visually engaging way.
The video met several objectives:
– To communicate Taylor Wimpey's commitment to protecting the environment, and the business’s environmental impact and priorities of climate, nature, waste and resources at every stage of its business.
– To show that through its environment strategy it is making better homes for its customers and helping to create greener and healthier communities.
– To communicate that its strategy is part of a journey and it has already made good progress.
The animation was produced in just three weeks: from editing the script and developing the visual style, to creating the final film.
The animation is aimed at both internal and external audiences. Employees view it as part of the company’s induction process and it is shared across internal communications. It is also shared with wider stakeholders on the corporate website.
