With a focus on wider value creation, financial reporting is now expected to clearly evidence ESG and organisations’ contribution to society. The reporting suite for Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC), a specialist insurer that underwrites defined benefit pensions, showcases the purpose of finance in creating and sustaining long-term value.
Our strategy team developed the business model to better communicate value creation as well as aligning the narrative with best practice, through detailing stakeholder engagement, a focus on ESG and engaging Board discussion around culture and values. To make the reader experience as accessible as possible, we enhance content flow and structure, introducing greater cross-reference and linkage. To highlight key benefits, we developed case studies to reflect customer journeys.
Creatively we evolved the visual style of the report to better reflect PIC’s unique culture, with beautifully crafted illustrations supporting key messaging covering purpose, people and value-adding drivers.
The editorial and visual treatment were presented consistently across a multiple cross-channel suite, which included the Group Annual Report, Company Annual Report, annual results presentation, webcasts and annual results CEO video (below).
