Creating a distinctive destination brand
As the UK’s largest listed residential landlord with a £2.9bn portfolio of c.9,000 rental homes, FTSE 250 Grainger plc prides itself on going beyond providing rental properties, and instead building communities for its customers.
For Grainger’s newest and largest development in Clippers Quay, Salford, Greater Manchester, the business wanted to create a strong identity and launch communications with the aim of attracting and converting prospective tenants.
The brand identity is inspired by the distinctive sail shapes of a clipper boat; these were a common sight in Salford many years ago in the Manchester docks, at one point the third busiest port in the UK. Warm, authentic photography used initially on the dedicated Clippers Quay website appeals to the development’s target demographic of young professionals and families. We also worked with Grainger to develop the accompanying strapline ‘Rent well. Live well.’
Phase two of Clippers Quay communications will include a brochure, banners, hoardings and advertising templates.
