CDC

Championing the SDGs

With 2020 marking a decade until the deadline to fulfil the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this year was a key moment for CDC to highlight how it is a leading contributor to and champion for the SDGs.

Given the scale of the challenge, we helped CDC use its Annual Review to highlight themes such as innovative thinking, partnership and the importance of working with others to meet the challenge.

To highlight these specific strategic objectives, we restructured the content with key ‘hero spreads’ organised around four key SDGs: ‘climate action’, ‘decent work and economic growth’, ‘gender equality’ and ‘partnerships for the goals’. The importance of the SDGs was reflected and referenced throughout the publication.

As in previous years’ reviews, the design continued to showcase the bold visual style of CDC’s brand, with impactful typography, graphics and large-scale imagery utilised in an eye-catching and accessible way.

With the deadline to fulfil the UN’s targets approaching, it's more important than ever for organisations to highlight how they are contributing to the SDGs.
