C&C Group is a premium drinks company which owns, manufactures, markets and distributes a unique portfolio of beer and cider brands.
We worked with C&C to launch its brand-new corporate website. The primary objective was to create a site which captured its ‘One C&C’ brand ethos and showcased its diverse portfolio of brands while uniting the business as a group.
Our starting point was to refresh the existing corporate narrative and articulate a clear and compelling brand story that would resonate with both external and internal audiences, bringing to life the company’s unique culture. To inform this story, we facilitated a brand workshop with the C&C team.
‘C&C: we are joy’ was selected to capture C&C’s brand story, with joy being at the heart of everything C&C does.
This inspired our creative brief and we developed a new visual treatment and user interface that were exciting, bold and fun but also practical and functional when displaying investor content.
A key element of this was capturing the sense of pride that C&C employees have for working at the company, as well as helping the employees working at sub-brands (Tennent's, Bulmers etc) feel proud and part of the C&C family by showcasing employee images alongside quotes from the individual. Another key creative element was threading C&C’s ‘from grass to glass’ story throughout their website to capture their involvement in all stages of the process from growing their own apples to manufacturing and distribution.
To enhance the user experience we streamlined the sitemap and introduced a new side panel navigation. We developed the new site with a flexible format for ease and accessibility for the C&C team, making sure the website architecture and wireframes enabled the required content and accommodated any geographical requirements.
