Mastering CSRD complexity

As one of the first wave of companies to fall under the scope of the new CSRD reporting requirements, Allied Irish Banks’ (AIB) reporting suite needed to fully comply with the regulation while also delivering on its ambition to be a leading reporter. We supported AIB across all aspects of this journey — from strategic consultancy and content mapping through to effective data visualisation and design.

To deliver on this challenge, we reimagined the reporting suite to a single, integrated and CSRD-compliant Annual Report, supported by visually impactful issue-based reports on social impact and climate. Our scope included CSRD advisory, narrative support and Workiva design and production.

The Sustainability Statement now meets all Directive requirements, with strategic clarity established upfront and broad stakeholder engagement secured across internal teams. Time-bound, outcome-focused targets were implemented by impact category, and systems were set up to track effectiveness and action outcomes. Disclosures remain focused and aligned with specific ESRS requirements.

The result is a reporting suite that brings AIB’s sustainability story to life, showing real progress and measurable impact for stakeholders.
