James graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins, UAL.
He has worked in Europe and the UK for over 10 years. After gaining work experience and freelancing at some of London’s leading agencies he moved to Switzerland to work as a designer for branding agency Erdmannpeisker. Learning typographic detailing and editorial design that comes from working in one of Europe’s leading design-led countries, he worked for clients including Credit Suisse, Swisscom, Smart, BLS and Flumserberg.
Since returning to London, James has worked for Luminous for the last eight years where his role has grown to becoming Creative Director in 2012. He led the award-winning rebrand project for Mitie. Other key projects include the Informa rebrand, digital projects for EBRD and corporate reporting projects for Allen & Overy, National Express, John Menzies, PPHE and the BBC.
As Creative Director, James dictates the quality of our design solutions as well as taking creative lead on key accounts. He works closely with our Design Directors to mentor the wider creative team. He is a member of the Luminous Board of Directors and the executive team steering group.
James is an avid supporter of Nuneaton Town FC with a passion for motorbikes, footie and social media.
