Luminous illuminate Ignatiev legacy
Luminous have self-published
a book celebrating the imagery of Russian Photographer
Nicolai Ignatiev, who died of cancer in 2004.
The book, entitled ‘Painting With Light’,
was produced as a testimonial to Nikolai’s life's
work and captures his stunning photography of humanity
at its most extreme - from the beauty of the Kiroi ballet
to the scars of Chechnia.
Jon Towell, Luminous Creative Director explaining the
spirit of the book, said: “Painting with light
is the perfect description of Nikolai’s work. In
times where people seem more interested in the latest
fad or
celebrity, it’s refreshing to enjoy work of such
genuine craftmanship.”
