When is an integrated report really integrated?

Kier

There is an ongoing industry debate about integrated reporting and it’s fair to say many reports making the claim do not live up the billing.

Kier is a powerful example of a true integrated report, presenting the outcome of the integrated thinking the business had developed over the previous year.

It provides material information about strategy, governance and performance in a way that reflects the commercial, social and environmental context within which Kier operates. It clearly explains the value that this contributes to the business and those connected to the organisation.

The report was highly commended at the PwC Building Public Trust in Corporate Reporting Awards, with judges commenting: ‘Kier is a forward-looking and well-integrated report that clearly establishes linkage between strategy, business model and KPIs, while also considering wider resources and relationships. Presentation of strategic priorities and vision is particularly extensive and use of graphics very effective.’
