Register for our #illumination event on MiFID II

To accompany our special edition of Reporting Matters, ‘Making Sense of MiFID II’, we are hosting an #illumination breakfast seminar on Thursday 29 November 2018:

A practical guide to managing the impact of MiFID II on investor relations and corporate reporting.

The seminar will feature three short presentations from our guest speakers:

  • Gareth Evans, Founder and CEO, Progressive Equity Research
  • Gary Davies, CEO, The Investor Relations Society
  • Dominic Moore, Digital Engagement Director, Luminous

At a time when there is increasing pressure on Boards to actively engage with their shareholders, and when attracting and maintaining an analyst following is likely to become increasingly difficult, our speakers will offer insights into current investor sentiment and provide practical steps on how best to reach and support existing and prospective investors.

Gareth Evans, who has spent 18 years in research and was former Head of Research at Investec, will give an overview of the impact of MiFID II on the research landscape. He will also explain the role that sponsored research can play in helping to plug the research gap and improve the quality of research available to investors.

Gary Davies will highlight the importance of taking a front-foot, active approach to investor communications and provide practical steps on how best to shape and adapt communications activity to meet the needs both of investors and Boards.

And Dominic Moore will provide guidance on investor communications and corporate reporting on companies’ websites and elsewhere online.
