UBM, the global live media and B2B communications, marketing service and data provider has chosen Luminous to produce their 2012 Annual Report.
We were appointed after a tender process which included a critique of previous reports and recommendations of creative ideas to improve the communications effectiveness of the report.
British Land, the FTSE100 real estate business asked us to undertake a creative workshop looking at their online offering.
The workshop reviewed leading and competitor sites, online trends and the developing role of the corporate website.
We are delighted that Deutsche Bank have chosen to work with us on their employee engagement programme.
The project will be looking at engaging ways to create consistent service levels across the business.
The programme will be launched in 2013.
The Goldsmiths’ Centre is a visionary new development in the heart of Clerkenwell. Opening in 2012, this restored Grade II listed Victorian school, combined with a contemporary four-storey building, is a striking combination of old and new, teaming traditional features with state-of-the-art design and facilities.
This online brochure helped the Institute highlight the key benefits of their room space for hire. By adopting the flexibility of interactive PDFs, the reader could click on icons and understand the flexible configurations of their rooms and see the benefits that each space provided.
The power of social media: we all want to harness it, and we are all looking for the magic formula for success.

We are delighted to have won both the Annual Report categories at the 2012 CorpComms Awards.
Our report for Halma won the ‘Best Annual Reports - private sector’ with the judges saying the report was filled with ‘stunning imagery’ and ‘nicely explained the data’. They were impressed by ‘product pull outs’ and highlighted the ‘online imagery that really brought the business to life’.
Our report for The City Bridge Trust won the ‘Best Annual Report - not-for-profit and public sector organisations’ category. The judges felt that the report just ‘stood out’ against the other entrants. They were impressed by its easy-to-read approach and colourful design that made the report feel ‘fresh and vibrant’

FTSE250 MITIE Group asked us to create a stylish and sophisicated online presence, setting out their strategic focus and driving sales.
Underpinned by a proprietary content management system, the site can be managed by all of MITIE’s business divisions around Europe.
Luminous were asked to create videos, interactive pdfs and animation to bring the site to life and engage the audience in different digital channels.
We are delighted that Sophie Gray has joined us as a Senior Account Manager.
She will work across brand communications, corporate reporting and internal communications projects.

Edwards is a leading global manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products and abatement systems.
Luminous won a four way pitch to develop a new brand experience that re-positions them as a technology leader through a global communications campaign, new messaging and updated creative material.
The winning campaign concept was directly aligned to Edwards five-year strategy, and will be delivered through advertising, e-news, brochures and exhibition stands which will be tailored to the needs of local markets in three continents.
We are delighted to welcome Hatty Chambers to our team as an Account Director.
Hatty has over 10 years’ experience in the creative industry with previous account management roles at Salter Baxter and Prokovateur. Her corporate reporting experience includes working with clients such as BAE Systems, Coca-Cola, Camelot, De Beers and Morrisons on both Annual Report and Corporate Responsibility Reports.
Hatty will oversee the account management team and help develop our sustainability and digital offering.

Our campaign brand for the City Bridge Trust’s ‘Growing Localities’ programme enjoyed some exciting media coverage last week, with well known celebrities appearing alongside our brand graphics.
The ‘Growing Localities’ scheme is a one-off grants programme developed to help mark the Diamond Jubilee. It will promote the use of green spaces and encourage people to grow their own food through community involvement and volunteering. The programme will help reduce social isolation, teach the value of biodiversity and provide horticultural work training for young unemployed people and those with special needs.
The programme was launched by Raymond Blanc and Joanna Lumley at a green pop-up space in the Guildhall Yard.
The multi-winning ARM Annual Report has struck gold again at the 2012 Strategic Planning Society Awards, winning the ‘best key performance indicators’ category.
The report for the FTSE 100 processor business has already enjoyed peer approval in 2011, winning awards at the Investor Relations Society Best Practice Awards and the PwC Building Public Trust Awards – Excellence in Reporting (FTSE 100). After the success of the Pandamonium campaign two years ago, we are delighted that WWF have asked us to create the brand campaign and merchandise once again.
This year Pandamonium has time challenged leading contemporary minds from the art, fashion and design worlds to create wearable sculpture to celebrate and support 50 years of WWF.
Set in the heart of Hyde Park, Pandamonium will be the first event of its kind to be held within The LookOut. The evening will unfold with unforgettable performances, an unexpected catwalk show, a moving feast and champagne under the stars – celebrating WWF’s Campaign for a Living Planet.
An auction of the artworks will be presented by Grayson Perry.
We have produced the annual report for XXAR, who design, manufacture and sell printheads to OEMs.
The challenge for their 2012 report was to provide a better understanding of what they do and how their innovative approach drives market leadership.
To bring their technology to life, the report featured printed QR codes next to key technologies, enabling the reader to view augmented reality images on their mobile phones.
European hotel group Park Plaza asked us to work with them to create a new name and brand for the Group which captured the stylish essence of the unique hotels, which trade under the Park Plaza Hotel and art’otel brands.
The creative solution for the new brand style is modern and European and is underpinned graphically by two distinct visual elements. Crosshairs that represent the city-central locations of the hotels and reflects PPHEs position at the heart of hospitality, whilst dynamic diagonal visual elements echo the momentum and growth of the group.
Rules on how to implement this distinct graphic look and feel was set out in clear brand guidelines and implemented across a whole range of marketing collateral, including website, brochures, folders, stationery, exhibitions, notepads and lanyards.
The Annual Report shows off the new brand in a fantastic manner - highlighting to existing investors and prospects an exciting growing business.
